• My layout is completely screwed up after the Mantra update a few weeks ago. I can’t figure out how to correct it. Could someone help me, pretty please?

The middle is overriding the sidebars and it’s messing up everything in the sidebars. I am using a child theme and thought using a child theme kept this kind of thing from happening after updates (?)
Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance!

If not, is there a way I can revert back to the way it was before the “update”?

Check your theme options page on your admin dashboard, I think it ‘ll be removed so its look like that.

    Do you have any backup?

When I go to the Mantra settings page, it won’t let me click on any of the options. I’m getting a jquery error message. I don’t know how to correct that. I have a screenshot of it uploaded here:

I have files from my blog downloaded manually onto my hard drive, just not through a normal “backup” method. I switched my web hosting from a shared server to a business hosting account last summer, so I downloaded all my files in case of a problem, but not sure what to do with it.
I’m self-taught with building my blog and put hours and hours (and hours) into it to get what I had before the update.
I don’t know what to do at this point…sigh…

I disabled the WP Super Cache plugin and tried again and got the same thing.

Try to disable all plugins then check your home page and theme options page and let me know if there have any changes

I disabled ALL my plugins one by one and of course it was the VERY LAST plugin that was causing the JQuery problem. WPSmart Mobile. Now I need to find a new mobile plugin.

Now off to see if I can adjust the layout!

My suggestion, Find your old theme (just previous version) on your manual backup and restore it on theme directory, And check anything improve on your homepage.

Because i don’t have idea about your old layout what you have in before theme update

No good ?? Adjusting the layout settings did nothing. ARGH!

    (@helensapphire)

do you happen to know which files that would be to re-upload?

    (@helensapphire)

wait, I’m using a child theme. Do I have to adjust the layout settings on the main theme?

    I think its working right?

    Thread Starter helensapphire

    (@helensapphire)

I adjusted it on the main theme and it’s better, but not where it was.

Now the sidebars are too wide ?? Just the opposite of what the problem was a little while ago. I’ll tinker with it more tomorrow and post again then. Thanks for your help tonight, Rajan!

    Sure @helensapphire, You are welcome
