Help. I’ve tried everything

I’m very limited in my ability and I have tried everything possible, but I can’t figure out how to bring the content back in line. Any thoughts? Actually any thought would be greatly appreciated.

One of the sticking points is it says that I can’t use a <ul> tag, but I need it otherwise I get odd bullets on the sidebar and I am using a sidebar widget. Could that be the problem?
