Help! Issues with Installation

Hi,
I have installed wordpress on other servers a number of times without issue… But today, I am getting the following message after it is all uploaded vis FTP and I go to do the installation…

“This page contains the following errors:
error on line 1 at column 52: Space required after the Public Identifier
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.”

Have installed on 2 different servers now, and the same problem!

Can anyone suggest what might be the issue here?
