• ok, i’m new to wordpress and i’ve read literally hundreds of forums on how to enable plugins on my wordpress blog with no help whatsoever.

can anyone in simple layman’s terms tell me how to enable the plugins function?

i already have a plugin to upload into my blog but just don’t know how.

not sure what version i’m using either. i’m very new to this site but would like some feedback from people who know what they’re talking about.

on the admin page on the left there is “links, pages, comments, polls, apprearance, users, tools, settings, and upgrades” in that order and NO PLUGINS tab.

    thanks for any help guys.

by the way here is my blog if anyone would care to check it out. i really want to put google adsense and other ads on my blog.

as you can see, i’ve been working hard to get this up and running with content. i just need a few nuts and bolts added to it to get me going on the right tracks.

thanks for any help you can throw my way.

Is this a self-hosted blog or one hosted at wordpress.com? If it’s the latter, you can’t install any plugins.

There should be a Plugins panel right at the bottom, but anyway, you can just type the url to the plugins page: https://www.myblogdomain/wp-admin/plugins.php . There you can add your plugins.

The reference to “Polls” and “Upgrades” makes me 99% convinced that this is a wordpress.com blog.
