HELP: Hashbang (#!) url redirects all links to homepage

We’ve just migrated our site from Wix to www.remarpro.com and we are trying to use the quick redirect option of this plugin to make sure all our old urls get redirected to the proper post .
All the old and new urls can be saved correctly but all the redirects simply seem to link to the homepage. For example with the following:
old url: https://www.sistatweet.com/#!Fonio-A-Magical-Grain-to-Make-Any-Cook-Proud-??-with-recipe/cmbz/5695a2e80cf21038318e5b73
new url: https://www.sistatweet.com/fonio-a-magical-grain-to-make-any-cook-proud/
anyone who clicks on any old posts shared online simply ends up at https://www.sistatweet.com
I’ve tried setting up the old url without the root and cleared my cache but it doesnt seem to make a difference.
(this is important because we have shared the posts on various social media outlets and cannot update the links).
Are there particular settings I need to activate to get this working? Can the plugin handle this at all? I cant seem to find an answer in any of the FAQ’s or previously asked questions.
