• Hi!

I’m trying to transfer my site, https://www.screenplayninja.com to the bluehost host I just purchased. Everywhere I read says I need to change domain mapping, but that option doesn’t appear when I go to domains. All I see are “Email” and “DNS.” Without an edit option, I can’t remap or point or whatever. Bluehost gave me the specific IP looking code I need to point to, but I can’t find a place to input it anywhere. Help!

Thanks! I’ve been reading that, but the issue is that I get to the Moving Domain step, and under Transfer Domain and Change Name Servers, it always shows pictures of going to your Domains and clicking on them, but the options it shows simply aren’t available. I follow all the steps, but the only two options I get are Email and DNS (I do not get “Name Servers and DNS””Contacts and Privacy” or “Transfer Domain”). I just wonder if this is some sort of glitch or something.

So, is your domain’s DNS currently pointing at WordPress.com so you have a WordPress.com website but it uses your URL because you have set it in the DNS to do so?

    Hi,

Have you tried changing your nameservers on NameCheap, by pointing them to the BlueHost nameservers?

Guide on how to do that here.

    The BlueHost nameservers are:
    ns1.bluehost.com
    ns2.bluehost.com

Sweet mama jama! Grant, you’re a genius! I feel like such an idiot. I’ve bought all my other domains via wordpress’s upgrade feature, but for whatever reason, I bought this one via namecheap and had no memory of it. Thank you so much!!!

The advantage of NameCheap is you have a bit more flexibility over what you want to do with your domain(s). Glad I could help, good luck!
