Help getting rid of the title banner on page

I understood what initially was a minor content update to the website, but ended up doing a bit more than I was prepared for. For reasons I don’t understand, a black banner with the page name now is displaying on all the pages (strangely enough, Chrome seems to display the pages well).

My problem is I don’t even know where the issue lies. If anyone can help me identify where I can go to fix the problem, I’d be really grateful.

The people who created the website used a lot of plugins, I accidentally clicked on Visual Composer (which needs to be updated) which seems to precipitate a sudden change in the appearance, through honestly I am not sure.
