To try put this together in logical order:

Someone managed to hack into Theme My Login and block you, and that is an issue of site security, not the plugin. But then when you got blocked and your host discovered how that had been done, Jeff’s plugin turned out to be the best friend you had on your side at the time!

Its Dashboard might seem a bit intimidating at first, but the BPS folks are working on that and I can show you how simple it really is to get some rock-solid security in place even though it *might* take just a little extra work to keep your caching in place.

Edit:

BPS does include specific coding for WPSC to check for potential conflicts and does display an admin notice alert with help info on what needs to be done to correct the issue. And a link to the WPSC option settings page. This is of course not typical or standard, but extended bonus code to make troubleshooting simple and easy between WPSC and BPS.
