I have the wors difficulty ever getting my Tiny MCe editor to comply to what I tell it to do. I paste from Microsoft word.. not sure if it’s the reason why though.

What happens is I make a long post with 15 diffferent sections each with a headline and an image centred undeneath the headline before a paragraph of text.

    1. headline

    Centered image

    Paragraph

    2. headline

    Centered image

    Paragraph

    And so on…

But when I post it to my blog it comes out all left aligned and this forcing the paragraph of text to be starting at the top right edge of every image.

It’s very distressing trying to figure out why and I look forward to responses.

Yes I’ve read that but it clearly states..

“Current versions of WordPress now have image alignment built-in.”

When it’s not working. It just ignores that I have made my images above the pargraphs centered. Which sould make the paragraph below the image start on a new line with the image above centred.

I’m thinking it could be something to do with pasting from Microsoft Word but not sure.

It’s really the most distressing thing I’ve encountered with Wp as of yet. ??

Are you using the ‘Paste from Word’ Button or are you just pasting from Word? The latter could be a problem. The former should be less of a problem but I still don’t trust it.

Unless I’ve missed something the built in WP image alignment mechanisms work when you use the media uploader to insert images and set the image alignment during that process. If you are pasting everything from Word you are working outside that system. I’m pretty sure that you could add class="aligncenter" to the img tag in your Word file and get the alignment to work though.

you probably have read this? pasting from word

“Current versions of WordPress now have image alignment built-in.”

versions of wordpress maybe, but your theme could be different.

without a link to your site, showing the problems, help would be guesswork ??

Thank you all for your responses. My theme designer set images to all be aligned left for some strange reason and is the reason why it wasn’t working properly.

I never though to check until someone notified me that it might be the problem.

It’s all beautiful again and ready for publishing. ??
