• Oh golly, here we go again!!!

Having just sorted out an error with WYSIWYG last week which meant manually replacing wp-admin and wp-includes folders, now we cannot publish posts or pages. Getting this error message:

    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Looked up various postings in forums but none seem to have a fix for this?

    Can anyone advise please?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Thanks esmi,

Seems the offending plugin was ‘Global Translator‘.

We’ll test a few others and see if they work better.
Don’t know of any similar plugins do you?

    Cheers again
