HELP: Dark overlay not removing even after following CSS on forum guides

  • Hi,
    I followed some of your forum threads on how to remove the background overlay for the banner but it does not seem to be working.?My banner picture is originally?bright as per attached.?
    What is it that I am doing wrong? Please advise.
    Below is the CSS I got from your other thread but I copied and paste it to Additional CSS under customize. Nothing happens.

    .site-banner .banner-caption {
    background-color: none;
    }
