• Hi guys!
I am currently trying to convert my free wordpress blog:

    https://alwaysg5.wordpress.com

to my new hosted WordPress blog:

    https://www.alwaysg5.com

The problem is that there is no easy option for this in the WP Admin area. So, I attempted to do the RSS import thing, where I download the RSS file from my old wordpress blog and import in in the Admin area of the new one. This worked, but it only imported my last 10 blog entries.

Is there any way that I can import the rest? My posts go back to June of 2006. I really want to do this so please help if you think you can. Any input is greatly appreciated! ??

    Thank you so much,
    Caitlyn

  • There’s something about increasing the default posts export/import number I think. I remember seeing something on the wordpress.com FAQ (*maybe*) about how to do this….

Yep, go into the backend of the wp.com blog, under OPtions->Reading and where it says “Syndication Feeds” plunk in a number higher than the amount of posts you have. Should snag all your posts then.
