Help changing thumbnail overlays

  • Hello I have a site question regarding thumbnail info.

    Here’s an example: https://i.imgur.com/Dsb0Gf1.png

    As you can see, this has it so the creation date shows in the deatured image in the thumbnail.

    My question is is it possible to change it? For example, if I have products on my site is there a way I can change it from post creation date to the name of the product the page is focusing on? Or any other changes?

    If so how and where can I change the thumbnail info for individual posts?

    Hello there,
    First off, thanks for reaching out, we assumed you are talking about featured image of the post, would you please confirm if the post have Featured Image uploaded? Otherwise, it will be treated as a placeholder.

    As the picture shows I am talking about the post preview pages that show on the front page under latest posts. As you can see in the image all the post thumbnails have the date in a yellow block, I was wondering if O can change that to the name of the product the thumbnail links to?

    Also another question, currently on the front page only 4 “latest posts” are shown and there isn’t an option in the customizer to increase the number. What code do I need to edit to change the number of latest posts?

    Hello @theajb,
    Thanks for responding, unfortunately, the theme does not offer both of the functionalities, we recommend you to customize the theme using child theme approach. For that you might need to to use/hire expert WordPress developer.
