Help changing Sidebar navigation

Hey all, first off, props to the creators of this software, it rocks. I just downloaded it, installed it, using the Default theme and it’s up and running, no probs.

I think I may, unfortunatly, want the complete opposite of what the Sidebar offers.

Let’s say I create a few Catagories, and one is Cars. I’d like to be able to click on Cars under Catagories, in the Sidebar, and get a “page” with a list of Posts, then you could click on a post and go to the page with only that post. I’d like to not have all of my Posts appear on the Front/Home page.

Is this possible to do? I’m not too PHP savvy yet but have no problem getting in there to learn.

One thought was that if you could only have a Post Title display when you click on a Catagory link, that would sort of work. Not exactly what I’m looking for but…
