HELP changed URL on dashboard – wordpress site lost

amazing. okay, i changed the functions.php file and got back in. great.

are these settings correct? should they be different from one another?
WordPress Address (URL) https://jewishradio.info
Site Address (URL) https://jewishradio.info

so now when i go to jewishradio.info it’s there. BUT, when I click on one of my tabs on the top which are linked to pages they lead to the same internal error as before.

For example my page https://jewishradio.info/contact/ . The tab is coded as follows
<li><a href="https://jewishradio.info/contact/">Contact</a></li> and when clicked on leads to an internal server error page. AHH!

Where did you install WordPress on your domain?

In htdocs in a directory called jewishradio

So the original site url was https://jewishradio.info/jewishradio?

no it was not pointing to the directory at all originally. It was just my server address/directory name. that’s why I tried changing it and failed miserably.

for example:
02d17c6.netsolhost.com/jewishradio/wp-admin

Try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting via Settings -> Permalinks and delete/rename any .htaccess file in your WordPress root folder.

delete/rename .htaccess file in your WordPress root folder?

Look for a file called .htaccess in the folder that you installed WordPress into using FTP into your site (or whatever file management application your host provides) & rename it to .htaccess.txt.

oh okay, i see the .htaccess file, i should delete it?

also the settings > permalinks page doesn’t have an option for going back to the original

Hello. I am having the same issue here but not having the same end result. I opened the functions.php in notepad, changed the code to:

. I then updated the file in filezilla, and tried to log in and I can’t login.

My old site was perfect10weddingsandevents.com. I tried to change this to perfect10events.ca and lost everything on my perfect10weddingsandevents.com website. Please help!
