Help! Can I delete the web page I created?

To “delete” that site, just cancel your hosting account with whatever host you chose to use when you initially installed WordPress. A domain is just a name that is pointed at a server/site; you don’t need to wait for your current hosting to end before you change it to point at a new site.

Here’s the thing, though: When I started, I accidentally jumped right to website creation — without ever choosing a host server. When I went back and saw that, I figured my website would be non-existent — but if I type in my website address on any computer, a site comes up with the header and sub-head that I created (the name of our newspaper and high school).

The only thing that does not appear is one initial post I filed. Instead, a note at the bottom of the site says: “Nothing Found
Apologies, but no results were found for the requested archive. Perhaps searching will help find a related post.”

So is there something I need to delete/remove, or can I just head over to WordPress.com, create a site and pay the annual fee to use that same website address I created at www.remarpro.com?

Again, apologies for being such a newbie. Any help would be much appreciated.

www.remarpro.com doesn’t handle any hosting or domain registration whatsoever, so there’s nothing you need to do here. The only way you could have installed and started using WordPress was by purchasing a domain name and paying for and setting up an account with a web host beforehand.

Yes, if you create a site at WordPress.com and then set it up to use the domain you already have, following all instructions they provide, then that site will show up when people travel to that domain.
