Brute Force Attack Problem Solving

  • Hello all,
    My server for the past month has been under constant brute force attacks against all the wordpress sites. Sometimes the server goes down once or twice a week. It has however gone down as many as 5 times in a week. Causing a lot of frustration for my site & the rest of the clients on the server.

    Has anyone had any success in blocking these attacks so they do not eat up all the resources on the server? It is a dedicated server that I maintain all of the wordpress sites so I know that the wordpres version, plugins & themes are all up to date.

    I have heard of cloudflare & WP Fail2Ban, but not sure if those will solve my issue.

    Any input or ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!
