    Name Description

    Dark Maple Template is missing.
    flowers Stylesheet is missing.
    flowerwave Stylesheet is missing.
    Iris Stylesheet is missing.

    modernblog Stylesheet is missing.
    redpepper Stylesheet is missing.

  • where is the wordpress blog please? Im asking to see something, im not just curious ??

Would have been nice if the initial person who was having problem would have responded to you.

I am having the same problem, currently using WP 2.1.2 and having the occurrence with 3 blogs installed on the same site, but naturally, 3 diff directories.

I can provide 3 screenshots from the Themes and Themes Editor tabs in the dashboard if you wish.

One of my blog locations is: https://tanyaiscrazy.com/main

None of the Themes previews are loading, they all say that files are missing, including the Stylesheet. And nothing from the theme is allowing to be edited, there is an error which displays “Oops, no such file exists! Double check the name and try again, merci.”

Help would be appreciated. I will RSS feed this topic.

    Tans

I have upgraded to the most recent 2.2 version of WP on one of my blogs, and it did not fix anything. I also fixed to upload some new themes, and they are not even loading up in the Themes Tab page. I have no idea what on earth is going on.

Older themes do NOT have previews because at the time they were made there was no such feature in WP – nothing “odd” in it. Make a .png snapshot, upload it and enjoy the preview if that’s the most important for you.

And the path showing where the files are… on your image is incomplete. It should be:
All of this theme’s files are located in wp-content/themes/deafult

And no, images do not replace the possibility to look at your code ??

Some of these are newer themes as well. Some .png screenshots are already in the folders.
I know the default location and where to upload them… the previews have showed up in the past, and I have none of the other kind of errors present in the past… why now?

I am unable to even edit the themes IN within the WordPress Dashboard.

I have had a WordPress blog for at least 3 yrs, I am not new to this, but need help with my current problem. I have updated one of them to see if it would help, and it hasn’t.

    1. Even with veteran users it happens that themes get uploaded in “double” folders; i.e.
    wp-content/themes/mynewtheme/mynewtheme/ …files
    2. Did you host upgrade any hardware or software? It happens more often tha you’d think…
    3. The images don’t even look as a standard WP dashborad. Do you have some custom admin interface? Can you switch it to the “normal” one, just to check it out?

    1. I don’t have double folders, view screenshot letter D

    2. Possibly, but contact from host has not been made to mention so.

    3. I have disabled all my plugins, please view screenshot A, B, & C. Same thing. :-\ ??

    A
    B

    C
    D

    I am clueless. Sorry.

Although re #2 – they never contact you to tell about it, and usually lie about it when you complain, and you have to press them hard to admit: their upgrade screwed up your site. That’s the general impression about hosts, based on feedbacks here…

    https://tanyaiscrazy.com/main/wp-content/themes/

you said “one of your sites”

    Is that site having problems?

If not, how bout sharing one that is? ??

one of the problems on that site I just posted about is this:

Fairy Nice Day/ <– thats NOT an acceptable directory name. NO SPACES .. EVER.

    oke.. so you go here:

    https://tanyaiscrazy.com/readme/wp-content/themes/

and you click on all those directories.. what do YOU see?

the normal expected response for an installed theme is this:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_header() in /home/blah/blah/blah/wp-content/themes/blah/index.php on line 2

that occurs because the themes index.php is attmepting to call a wordpress fucntion that is undefined.

If you dont see that, but instead see this:

    https://tanyaiscrazy.com/readme/wp-content/themes/default/

then there is something else going on.

    1. What is the permission on that directory?
    2. what are the permissions of the files inside that directory?
    3. What do your server logs say, specifically your error log, (available in nearly every Cpanel install)?

What are the permissions for your theme directory?
Do you have an .htaccess in your wp-content directory?

    https://tanyaiscrazy.com/readme/wp-content/themes/.htaccess

If so, what does it read?

Problem fixed… changed hosts… VOILA LOL

Thank you for those who tried to help, it is most appreciated!
