Help!! Attributes dropdown menu disappeared?

    When I attempted to select an attribute while adding a new product, instead of having a pull-down menu for the attributes, I now receive a ‘please enter 3 or more characters’ pop-up for all attribute entries. It is not convenient for me and I would prefer to use the pull-down menu.

    This alteration might have been triggered by recent WooCommerce updates or changes made after linking to Printify. Is there any way I can revert it back to the pull-down menu? Any settings or any codes?

  • I have the same problem. When selecting attributes, e.g. size in product properties, a min. requirement is now displayed. 3 characters.
    For the shoe size, I enter sizes e.g. 39, 40, etc., so I don’t see attributes that are already in use.
    Can this requirement be shortened to two characters?

    Having the same problem.
    I think this occurred after the update to WP6.3.
    Upgrading to Woo 8.1 from 7.9 did not resolve the issue.
    I’ve found in the database wc_product_attribute_lookup, which I think has something to do with it, but this isn’t something I’ve come across before.

    I also have this issue, and where many of my attributes are one or two characters in length, I cannot search for them either. Every update to attributes over the past two years has made the feature more difficult to use.

    I’m having the exact same problem! And I’ve got a prodcut release tomorrow!

    The workaround I’ve found (annoying as it is) is to add ALL the options and then remove the ones that I don’t need for that listing. It’s a pain, but at least it temporarily gets the job done!

    Indeed, it appears I’m not the only one feeling frustrated. I spent quite some time navigating through the entire system, attempting to locate any setting options that I might miss.

    Unfortunately, I can’t find a way to work around this, I deal with multiple attributes, one with over 30 options, and another attribute with just three options (A, B, C). Adding to the frustration, I have an attribute for names, and it’s virtually impossible for me to remember the three letters of every name. It used to be so simple, just a matter of a few clicks before the upgrade….I hope they can bring back the pulldown menu ASAP.

    Thanks for reaching out, and I hear your frustration with regard to the attributes minimum character limit.

    This is a known bug which has been reported on GitHub here.

    It is fixed by?this PR, which should be released soon in an 8.0.2 patch release.

    Kindly note that the patch has been included in WooCommerce?[8.0.2]?which has now been release.

    Please can you update WooCommerce core to its latest version, this should resolve the issue ??
