    Good Afternoon,

    Have noticed that a lot of people have been affected by the latest update of this plugin.
    Luckily we haven’t updated to the latest version, so haven’t been affected by the issues that people have been facing.

    If it helps, we are running version 4.1.1 of this plugin, with the latest version of WordPress 6.0 and everything is running smoothly.

    Just thought it would be worth letting other members of the WordPress community know, just incase they were considering rolling back to an earlier version.

  • Hmm… when downgrading, why does this look so different:

    Plugin Name Current (4.1.3): Google XML Sitemaps
    Uploaded (4.1.1): XML Sitemaps

    Author Current (4.1.3): Arne Brachhold
    Uploaded (4.1.1): Auctollo

    Auctollo??? Whose plugin is this???

    Hi @ctmartin2020,

    Arne Brachhold was the original author of this plugin.

    Looks like he stopped working on this plugin some time back.

    Prehaps Auctollo maybe taking over this plugin, as if your in your plugin dashboard and look at Version 4.1.1 by Auctollo, and click on Auctollo it takes you to Arne Brachhold’s website.

    Would imagine that whoever’s working on this plugin now will hopefully release an update soon, to address the issues that people are facing.

    If I’m not misreading, according to https://www.arnebrachhold.de/projects/wordpress-plugins/google-xml-sitemaps-generator/, the maintenance has been taken over by W3 EDGE, the company which provides W3 Total Cache?

    If you need to deactivate/delete version 4.1.3 and restore version 4.1.1, you can scroll down to the bottom of this page where it says: “Please select a specific version to download”:

    All my previous settings were restored when I downgraded back to 4.1.1.

    Hello, thanks for using our plugin! We have released a new version of the plugin, please upgrade – it should be smooth. We plan to actively release the newer versions periodically.
