• As a user coming from Blogger, I’m used to being able to simply paste in code and having it work (amazon, paypal, adsense, etc). I’ve quickly learned that isn’t going to happen here on WP.

The first one I’d like to settle is the Amazon Associates links. I’d like to set up some dynamic AA links in my sidebar, right under my “Links” section, as well as be able to add specific product links in posts.

I’ve searched around and I see that there are at least 3 different plugins available involving Amazon. I am COMPLETELY clueless when it comes to all of this stuff, and I am only about 2 days into my WordPress experience.

I hope someone is able to point me in the right direction, and I hope that direction doesn’t require me knowing any code. =P

  • AFAIK, Amazon Media Manager is pretty much the easiest one to deal with….

Plugins are great if you have difficulty with coding. Although, some if them will still require to add some tag/code to your template files.

As for the AA code – I just copy/pasted it in my sidebar.php file and it shows up correctly (OK, have to admit, for validation purposes I replaced every occurrence of & with &).
