• Hi there, so yesterday I bought a domain with godaddy and then I came over to wordpress and purchased a hosting option…well, today I go on etsy and I want to buy a template and it says its only for www.remarpro.com not .com. what does that even mean?

How in the world do I get a www.remarpro.com page so I can use this template? As you can see, I am not by ANY means familiar with this stuff and I just really need someone to help me ?? any ADVICE is welcomed. Thank you!

Again: domain with godaddy, hosting with wordpress.com and I want to know how I can get a .org to use this template I saw online.

  • www.remarpro.com is for stand-alone websites that are hosted – which is what you should have:

so yesterday I bought a domain with godaddy

Read this: WordPress Codex : Getting Started with WordPress and this: WordPress.com and www.remarpro.com

and then I came over to wordpress and purchased a hosting option

WordPress does not sell hosting options, as it is not a host. Where did you “purchase a hosting option”?
When you get purchase your domain at Godaddy, you should have purchased hosting as well: https://ca.godaddy.com/hosting/wordpress-hosting

kay, maybe i didnt purchase a hosting option…but something was charged to my card…ill have to check that out…i was reading that bluehost is a great option for hosting on wordpress, but that could have just been a sponsored blogger or something.

i want that template that i saw, so i think that maybe bluehost is the best option for me as they are affiliated with wordpress..

ill double check the hosting for godaddy, but im pretty sure i didnt buy hosting through godaddy because when i enter the URL, it says “get your website to work, add hosting and turn your domain into a website”

but something was charged to my card

Probably the domain name registering, usually somewhere around $12 to $15 (…in Canada, anyhow)
