Help! 500 – Internal server error

  • Hello everyone, I am completely new to wordpress so please bare with me.

    I tried going to the log-in site for my website but it gave me a 500 – Interval server error. I tried looking for a solution and I have seen a lot of posts on .htaccess and needed FTP and such. I downloaded FileZilla but I honestly have no idea why it’s not connecting (530 User cannot log in.) Read about cPanel but I don’t want to purchase it.

    Is there anyone who can explain to me step by step how to resolve this issue please? I just want to work on my website again.
