2.7 beta – Blog is stuck in “Maintenance” mode

Oh, I forgot to give you my web address:

You can see there that it’s stuck in “Maintenance” mode.

Delete the .maintenance file that should be in the WordPress base folder–same folder as the wp-admin folder.

Thanks for the tip, MichaelH! I am having the same problem but can’t locate the .maintenance file that you mention above.

Does this file have another name?

So how do I put the site INTO maintenance mode? Adding .maintenance to the base folder doesn’t do anything.

How come there isn’t a switch for this in admin?
