Hello Theme Excerpt length issue

I have created a site and am struggling with excerpt lengths in Elementor Pro’s Archive posts and posts widgets. These widgets allow you to set the length of the excerpt for posts without a manually generated excerpt. It seems the Hello theme overrides this (switching to other themes makes it work) – has anyone encountered this before and can the authors look into a fix for this in a coming update considering it’s advertised as the goto Elementor approved theme!
