After updating to 2.0.2, I can not edit Loop templates with the most current version of Elementor’s Hello theme installed. I get the error:

“Sorry, the content area was not found in your page.
You must call ‘the_content’ function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page.”

I get this error with all plugins disabled except elementor, elementor pro and ele skin (non-pro). Everything is fine with default WP themes. I reinstalled ele skin 1.4.0 and things work but would like to go with your most recent version if possible. Thanks for any help!

Well I tried Hello theme and the latest elementor skin on a brand new site and there were no problems. I suspect there is something wrong inherent in my site that is causing the conflict with the new version of Ele Skin. I am going to reconstruct my site from scratch – uggh – and go from there. Thanks for your awesome plugin!

Maybe try to overwrite all the plugins manually, do a re-install of WP first?

While rebuilding my new site, the error returned after exporting all my old site’s non-loop Elementor templates and then importing (one by one) into my new site.

So that pointed to problem with one or more of the non-loop templates that Elementor Skin 2.0.2 did not like. Again Ele Skin 2.0.2 didn’t have a problem with my templates when using default wordpress themes, but it did have a problem when I used any theme that hooked into Elementor like Hello, Skelementor, etc.

I got lucky and fixed the problem on the new site by first bulk exporting all the templates that i imported form my old site, and then deleting all the templates (including Default Kit). After I bulk imported the bulk exported templates back into the new site, it somehow worked.

Go figure? Perhaps there was something wrong with my default kit or elementor cleans things during the bulk export/import process?

If you make Single Templates with Display Condition: All Single this would brake things.

Ah yes that was the problem. I’m sure you’re working on it. For now I am substituting All Singular conditions with two conditions- Posts:All and Pages:All

    Solved

I checked my Single templates and I have only one and the Instances are set to “Reviews, In Review Type, #66”. Not sure what that #66 is but the other two refer to by Custom Post Type which is what I want the loop to navigate to.

    Is that supported?
