Hello Plugin makers!
-
I hope I am not opening a bag of worms here, however, the answers to this post could help me.
I think there needs to be a plugin that could uninstall a
-
caching plugin that is reputed to be the most advanced
(I won’t name it because I don’t like to be unfair in case I am the problem here)
After installing this plugin, I see only erratic improvement. This could be the result of me (a non technical user, like most) not being adept at choosing the right setup.
Now I would like to uninstall the plugin. But I need to also go and delete files in the file manager, etc. I thought WordPress was for the casual users! I like to think that a plugin should be as easy to uninstall as it is to install.
I hope you know what plugin I am talking about by now because I won’t name it.
Reading posts to alleviate my problem, one suggestion was to go with a simpler plugin like the Wp Super Cache. I like to do this. But the problem still remains regarding my lack of know-how to remove the so clled “most advanced cachining plugin” that I already have installed.
To wrap up:
1)I think for all plugins, there must be a provision to uninstall the plugin completely and safely. 2)Else, there must be another plugin that helps its safe and complete removal. 3)Cached sites being less taxing to hosting resources, they must come up with solutions to remedy the situation by possibly sponsoring an ultimate cache plugin.Hope I won’t be banned from the forum for having a post here deemed as complete nonsense.
Thanks in advance for your shedding light in this matter.
