Syntax error in Canvas theme

I tried to add some code after the php to get rid of 6,000 subscribers who are blog spam (I know…lol, it took me awhile to figure that much out)

anyways this is what happened and I can’t login, no blog online just a white page with:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘function’ (T_FUNCTION) in /home2/janice56/public_html/wp-content/themes/canvas/includes/theme-functions.php on line 1

my hostgator c panel is fine, I just don’t know what to do

I use a woo theme, canvas…please help
