• I tested for some years the free Version of this plugin and decided to go Pro, with the hope new features would be implemented. Last year I stopped using the plugin, because after two years I saw only bugfixes and added languages but no new features like automatic sorted media per year or months, or something else.

Another reason, this plugin is much too heavy for a media folder plugin, after looking for alternatives I found that others on the market 4x times lighter, than this one, who I see sometimes more impact on the backend (getting slow) and I do not use a cheap webhosing with low resources. There are happened some issues with the rest-api and some other things I didn’t like.

I’m disappointed with the free version and even more so with the pro version, especially when three years ago it was said that new features would be added, but nothing happened.I’m glad that I found some more worthy alternatives.

    Hi @jackmac71,

I am sorry that you are no longer satisfied with Real Media Library. You are right that Real Media Library currently only has compatibility, maintenance and translation updates, as our team has a slightly different focus at the moment. However, we are collecting new feature ideas to improve Real Media Library again with full power in the future.

Regarding the performance issues, we recommend that you open a support ticket at devowl.io/support so that we can look into your individual case. Real Media Library is generally designed to be as resource efficient as possible and has been tested with thousands of files in the media library. Should you still have performance problems, we will be happy to take a look at what is going wrong in your individual case.

    Best regards,
    Jan
