• I’m a little confused and can’t make a decision, so I’m calling for help!

I have both the Headspace 2 and All in one SEO plugins installed and running on my site, and I’m new to SEO in general. Is it a good idea to use both at the same time? I know Headspace has a lot more features then All in one SEO, which is almost overwhelming for me. I have been thinking about ditching Headspace and only using All in one SEO, but I don’t want to miss out on important features…

What would you do? Use both like I am atm, or only 1 or the other, and which one?

    Thanks…
    Stephane

    Shane, thx for your feedback.

I guess what I’m trying to figure out is which features will I miss if using All in one SEO instead of Headspace, and is it a big deal? Is anyone else using both plugins at the same time?

    Hi Stephane,

I hadn’t heard about Headspace until I read about it on the Yoast blog today.

I did some digging and found a great post that compares All in One SEO and Headspace. For now, I’m sticking with the simpler option – All in One SEO. I also think you need to choose one option rather than try to do both.

As a real novice to WordPress SEO, I’ve tried to follow a range of advice – the DailyBlogTips site being the best resource for me.

I’m spending time to optimise each post with basic SEO: good titles, consistent key word use (within the title and article) and some good internal SEO linking.

On Google UK, we’re #1 for “Pink Wedding Colour Scheme” – it’s a big achievement for me at least!

The big change happened when we started using the correct anchor text when linking back to our site in combination with the SEO plug-in.

When creating back links to our blog, we now say: view our wedding colour schemes rather than “click here” to view or wedding colour schemes. – (It’s a shame back links on comment boards are disabled!)

If anyone else has some good pointers, or if I’m missing something I’m sure anyone reading this would be interested.

    Andy,
thx for these few tips! I think I will use All in one SEO over headspace 2, it’s just a lot easier to use and pretty much does the same thing…I might go back to Headspace 2 when I get more familiar with SEO in general!

HeadSpace is easily the better of the plugin and is not complicated – the wealth of options is there if you need it, but is hidden if you don’t.
