This notification consistently pops up every 2-3 days. “Heads up! There may be a problem with your connection to Square”

This leads to customers not being able to use Square to pay until we disconnect and reconnect Square manually.

What can we do to solve this issue?

  • Hi there @anthonymerheb,

Thanks for reaching out! If I understood you correctly, your Square extension disconnects every couple of days.

To look into the issue further, could you please go through Square connectivity logs for any errors? To enable Square sync/connectivity logging, please navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Square > Enable Logging: https://d.pr/i/VBR0Kg

If it was enabled before, please navigate to WooCommerce > Status > Logs > choose square log file for the day when the issue happened and check for errors.

If it wasn’t enabled, please activate it and wait for the disconnection to happen again.

Also, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response in coding brackets.

This should shed some light on what’s happening.

    Cheers!

The error message is ” No refresh token stored, cannot refresh connection.”

    Hi there @anthonymerheb,

This typically indicates that a security plugin on your site is altering Square connectivity tokens. Do you have any on your site which could do that?

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
