"Headers already sent by" error , please help

  • I am getting de following error on my site when i post a new article or i delete a comment , but even if i get this error the article it’s publish.

    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/descarc5/public_html/wp-content/themes/filmeonline/functions.php:1) in /home/descarc5/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 866

    Please help , what can i do ? It’s something about the theme i have ? With functions … ??

  • There are several possibilities for this error. It is usually caused by unwanted spaces or blank lines in the first file mentioned (functions.php at line 1).

    If you have modified functions.php, try editing it to find the problem around line 1.

    If you have not changed functions.php, the error may be in config.php, or in a plugin.

    Try switching to a different theme to see if the problem still occurs. If it does not, the error is in your theme, probably functions.php. If the problem is still there, check config.php.

    If you still can’t find the problem, try deactivating all plugins. If that fixes it, activate half of them at a time to narrow down the bad one.
