• Hi there,
recently installed the wordpress stuff, finally manages to get the thing working (Woohoo!!!). I must say i’m quite impressed on how easy it is to use. However…. I’m stuck with one thing that would normally be so easy to sort, but I’m not getting this. I can’t get my header image to sit behind the menu, so the menu is sitting above the logo image and not below. If you want a look at what i mean, you can see at this page here: https://www.caledoniapipers.co.uk/blog/
Am I being totally stupid? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jock

    Sorry,
I’m getting there. I’m playing with the code in the header file, but I can’t get it so when you click on the link, ie; “about us” the child pages now show in the header section too. I’d like it so the child page links show in the body of the page.

    So pirnickity eh! haha

    cheers,
    Jock.

Have you tried using a transparent image for your logo?
If the image you are uing is not transparent then you can use something like photoshop to open it and then save it as a transparent image.

Having said that this will only solve part of your problem. Basicaly your menu will still be behind the logo but will show through.

Sorry I’m not a coder and aint got much of a clue when it comes to php to help further.

Try using a plugin – child pages don’t show by default. But there’s a plugin caled “Fold Page List” that can do this for you.

    Hi Ajnabi,

Never knew you could make an image trasparent. I think if I can make the image trasparent, then I’ll manage to figure out the menu position problem ok (I thnk!).

I’ll give it a go and thanks again for your help.

Doodlebee: thanks for your suggestion aswell, I’ll give that a go.

    Regards,
    Jock
