Header won’t load images

  • I am trying to restore the header (actually multiple image fade) and the Flexxtheme only gives the option of loading from my desktop,

    The jpeg images won’t load from my desktop and I get a message about permissions. I have changed the permissions to 755 and followed the advice on your forum ie taken the ‘/’ out of the code in Miscellaneous > settings

    It still hasn’t resolved. This is a general problem – can’t load from the desktop to Pages either. Can load from URL but though I have set sizes to ‘tiny’ they come through really big so I am stuck here ??

    I can’t get help from ithemes as I bought the theme through an agent who doesn’t reply

    Can you help?

  • Change the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.

    Not only did that not work but I hvE LOST ALL MY IMAGES IN MEDIA LIBRARY AND NO IMAGES WILL SHOW NOW ON MY SITE. HHHHHHHEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPP MMMMMEEEEEEE.

    Thanks it did get sorted.

    I had to refresh my browser to get my images to show again and then it was a problem of files being in the wrong nesting box in the cpanel which my host kindly diagnosed and sorted for me. Onto today’s problems.
