Header video in Twenty Seventeen won’t autoplay or play at all?

  • Hi
    All of a sudden for no reason the header YouTube video in Twenty Seventeen theme won’t autoplay or actually even play at all?
    I’ve tried updating the WordPress, the theme and all plugins but nothing is resolving the issue
    Anybody got any ideas please?

    I managed to fix this myself.
    Firstly I updated PHP (I don’t know if this did anything to the second step but on its own this didn’t do anything) so……
    Secondly. I copied the URL out of header settings of WordPress into a browser, it started to play on YouTube, I chose SHARE on YouTube, copied that URL into WordPress and that “Fixed it”.

    It’s worth noting I tried step 2 MANY times before I first posted this question and it did nothing.
