Header turns black after page finishes loading

Unless you post a link to your site, it’s pretty impossible for anyone to give you any help.

A slow loading website where it displays correctly but then later loads more CSS that overwrites it.

In style.css find

    left: 0;
    position: absolute;
    top: 0;

    z-index: 1;
}

Remove the z-index line.

As far as I am aware those have always been that way – it was still working.

Removing z-Index fixed the header, but the 2 large black boxes on the side were still there.

Removing the background line removed the menu bar from the left and right edges.

My site skin ads get cut off at 1100px it seems, which is also the width of my wrapper. I changed my wrapper to 1400 temporarily, and while this did completely mess up the alignment of my site, the site skin did not get cut off anywhere. Any ideas on that part?

Remove the position line.

So the z-index and position line only. Not the background.

I only checked on homepage so it might up inner pages. So test after you change it.

Looks like you are 2 for 2. Thank you very much. I have no idea why these pieces of code, which have been with my site since forever, have today decided they no longer wish to work.
