Header showing in post editor background
-
Hi all,
I created a website for a friend using OceanWP and Elementor. I set up the blog on the WordPress customizer. When I go into the old blog post or try to create a new post, the page header is showing up behind the text, making it impossible to see what’s being typed. No issue with another website using the same theme and plugin. I would like to have the standard white background in the editor but I do not want to get rid of the header for the blog pages. Am I missing a setting somewhere? Suggestions?
A screenshot of what I’m referring to:
https://monosnap.com/file/aiXmXVyq5RpaEkTaSl7t5CsthT6acVNOTE: The blog was *NOT* set up using Elementor or Elementor Pro. PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THIS POST STATUS OR THREAD TOPIC! All elements of the blog, page header and blog design were created using wordpress customizer.

Hello,
It seems the plugin conflict issue. Try to disable all the nonocean plugins and check if it is working or not. If yes, enable the one-by-one plugin, and refresh the page after enabling each plugin, to check the conflict issue.
@abhikr781 I deactivated all of the plugins, including Ocean Extra. It didn’t change anything. The plug-ins are not the culprit.
Hello,
Have you set any site background images?
Please navigate to customizer > general settings > general styling, remove the background image if selected, and check.@abhikr781 Yes, this is the header for the blog page and blog entries. As I stated in the original post, I do NOT want to get rid of that design. When I tried to set this as a normal header in the customizer, the image was too small and there wasn’t an option to adjust the height of the image. Only when I set it as a background image did it actually display the way I needed it to. That said, there should be no reason for WordPress would display a background image in the post editor, that’s absurd and should not be happening. If there is a way to set the “header image” height to match how the background image is displayed currently, I would like to know.
Hello,
I apologize for the delay in response.
which image is exactly showing there, the image which you have added background image via Appearance > Customize > General settings > General styling?
Or getting any other images?
If possible kindly open a support ticket at our help desk to take a closer look into the issue.
@abhikr781 Hi. The image that is showing up in the background when I go to create a blog post is the image in the blog header (I included an image link in my original question). It’s a collage I spent a lot of time creating. The image was on the General Styling option. So yes. It’s the image under Appearance > Customize > General settings > General styling.
When I remove that and put the image into the Header Media option, it only shows up in the background of the menu area and does not display full height. There is no option to change the height of this image or to get it to display the way I want it under header media. Nor do I want this image to show up behind the menu on other pages. I ONLY want it to display on the blog and blog posts.@abhikr781 I can’t figure out how to submit a ticket. When I googled this it gave me the oceanwp website support dashboard. I created an account but when I try to submit a ticket it doesn’t recognize my email and says the login is incorrect. The email is correct on the Your Account page. Do I have to pay for support? Because that’s what it looks like on here.

Hello,
I have checked that again on my end and there is no issue if I select the header image. The only image that will appear in the editor background is the image selected from the customizer > general styling > background image.
Kindly open a ticket at the helpdesk to take a closer look into the issue.
@abhikr781 as per my last response, it won’t let me submit a helpdesk ticket on the OceanWP website. If this isn’t where I need to send it, please can you provide a link? If this is where submit the ticket, it will not let me log in to the submit ticket dashboard. I created an account on the website and can log into the website but it won’t allow me to submit a ticket. I do not have a paid account. Please advise.
Apologize for the trouble.
Following the doc will help you in opening the ticket and please try to open it in the prepurchase section.
https://docs.oceanwp.org/article/762-how-can-i-get-support@abhikr781 I’ve submitted the question to pre-purchase. However, this is the message that displayed after I submitted it:
Important: This form is for pre-purchase questions only. Support question will not be answered. If you are a free user and you need support, create a new topic on the WordPress forum or join our Facebook Community Support group. If you are a customer, submit a ticket via our support page.
I did explain that I was directed to submit through that option. I’ve been trying to get this resolved since April (this is not the first post I made on the WordPress forum regarding this issue). How long should I wait to receive a response?
Thank you, I got your ticket and already reverted it.
