• I’m new to WordPress and am in the process of mangling an Ocadia theme to make it my own. So far, so good. BUT… I want to make the header stretch across the page and every time I widen it, it simply pushes the wrapper out with it. (See, I’m trying to get the foam over the beer-looking part. Clever, no?) After searching here and looking on the web, I can’t quite figure it out. I think I should be starting the wrapper south of the header if at all possible, but can’t seem to do that. Can’t seem to make the header act independently of the wrapper. I think I read somewhere that the wrapper is the parent and the header is the child… well the child wants to be emancipated.

(It should be obvious I don’t know much about HTML or CSS)

  • Well, the link in your user name, the site looks fine. SO I’m not sure what the issue is.

miklb, just to be clear, yes, it’s bloggerale.com. what i’m trying to do is stretch the foam all the way across the top of the page so that it covers the body/white space and the beer colored portion (so that it looks like a glass of beer). But widening the header also pushes the white of the wrapper out as well.
