Header Parallax Image suddenly stopped working

  • Everything was fine up until recent. I pulled up the site on my laptop and the background image is displaying incorrectly. It is suddenly not showing at 100% width but blowing up and cropping off the width.

    The odd thing is, when I right click to “inspect element” it appears correctly in the preview pane.

    When I go into the theme customizations and click on mobile and tablet preview, both of those show correctly, but desktop does not.

    Also, I have received notifications that this theme is no longer supported. Without having to do too much work, what theme would transfer over easily? WordPress suggested updating, but I X’ed out the notification that suggested a particular theme.

    I’d rather keep this theme and just have the banner show correctly.

  • I just switched to their recommended replacement theme – Neve. I played around in preview mode to see how to implement a similar look and since it only took me about an hour to configure, I just implemented it on the live site. I have two minor problems: the menu and the quote block do not follow the justification selected, but instead center. ThemeIsle was very responsive looking into it and saw I had a workaround by putting a left justify CSS code into the block (not sure if the block CSS code is a Neve feature or an Otter blocks plugin feature – which they recommend you use)

    Anyway, Neve gives you better customization of fonts, header, footer, background color or images – on the page or in the header or footer. I’ve been very pleased.
