Is there any child themes you would recommend to add this banner? Also I’m not too sure how to code.

Actually, Child Themes are created specifically for the theme you have, because every theme is different; and though most themes support Child Themes, there are some that do not.
You could check your main theme’s website and see if they have pre-made child themes available. Some do.

Awesome, cheers. It does have a child theme, I’m downloading it now.

Is there a way to install the child theme without using FTP?

Do you know how to get to “File Manager” by logging into your host account?

    Yes I do.

It then gives me the option:

    “File Manager Directory Selection
    Home Directory
    Web Root (public_html/www)
    Public FTP Root (public_ftp)”

Make sure the child theme is in its own folder – it should have come that way. You will upload the entire folder.

    Go to File Manager > Web Root(public_html/www) > wp-content > themes.
Put the child theme inside the folder “themes”.

    Login to your website.
    Dashboard > Appearance > Themes.
    Activate the child theme.
If something happens to the site when you activate the child theme (…though it is not supposed to), then go back to where you put it in and delete it.

    Let usknow what happens.
