• I am using the latest version of Ocean WP and Elementor. My home page is marked private since I am working on the site. When users go to ronnajohnston.com they see a 404 message but the header and menu still appear, even though I have disabled them in the theme customization. I have tried every setting I know of and even created and published a 404 page using the elementor canvas setting – that page looks fine but the one with the header keeps appearing, not the new one I created.
I appreciate any help anyone can give me!

Hello, in the General Options > 404 Page section of the customizer, have you checked On for the Blank Page setting?

Hi, okay, can you send me your site url? Because the link you sent doesn’t work, it redirect to a blank 404 page, not your site.

    Hi,
The home page is marked private and I published it. That resulted in the 404 page that has the header and links that I want to remove. I know it wasn’t a good idea to publish the page, even in private, but it’s out there now.
So you do have the correct link. My question is how to delete the header and menu from that 404 page. I used a custom plugin to create a 404 page and published the page but the one with the header and menu still shows up. That header isn’t on my site as I work on it.
Maybe the solution is to get busy and create at least a minimal page that isn’t marked private but I would like to figure out how to have that 404 page show up without the header.
    Thanks!

Hi, do you have a security plugin installed? Because I cannot access your site, it say:

The requested URL / was not found on this server.
