  • You can use the user menu for the logout links, or even the primary menu as well.
    We can not display any actual button there as the avatar and user menu us displayed there. https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/buddypress-links-in-wordpress-menus/ you can find a similar option in bb as they have copied the same

    Thanks, I was able to add it as a menu item but it’s not ideal, since the right most position puts it in front of the search magnifying class so the position hops around based on logged in/out. When logged in, the log in is on the farthest right side.

    It would be great if you could add a submenu to the logged in username (next to the avatar) with a logout option, and possibly other things, perhaps authored content, comments, preferences/settings, or sections within user profile. This quite a typical intuitive design layout.
