Header logo problems

I have updated to 3.3. My header logo which s a jpeg fitted perfectly and wordpress automatically adjusted page menus and images to allow a larger header logo.
Really need help as its look really crap at the moment. I will leave the header image up for today and revert back to default tomorrow which is just plain text.
