Header Information Problem

    I just encountered this error message:
    Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [censor]/wordpress/wp-config.php:1) in [censor]/wordpress/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 850

    And others like that. What’s probably wrong with my config file?

  • You probably have a BOM or a blank line at the beginning of the config file. There are quite a few threads in this forum about this and how to fix it.

    I know that and that’s why I’m confused: there are no line breaks or spaces before and after the opening and the closing of the php tag.
    And what’s a BOM?

    problem solved, I’m using the newest wp-config-sample and copy-replace the content.
    But I still want to know what is going on here.
