I have the exact same problem on 2 different websites using Twenty Seventeen.
The problem seems to not exist in Safari and Firefox but on Chrome.

The header images of the individual pages included in the homepage show only partly or not at all on Chrome browser. These header images do show when I go to the individual pages but not when the images are supposed to be pulled up on the homepage.

    Example: homepage https://eta-kanada.com
    Individual page https://eta-kanada.com/wieviel-kostet-das-eta-fur-kanada/

Again, it seems to work well on Safari and Firefox but they don’t show on Chrome.
I’ve already switched from the child theme to the original theme without any change.
I’ve also deactivated all plugins temporarily. No change.

Can anybody help or point me in the right direction?
    Thanks for trying to help.

Never mind, I found the CSS fix here in the forum.

Hi Andre, could you post a link to the answer in the forum?

    Thanks!

I can’t find the post but it was about putting this CSS code into your style.css, preferably while using a child theme or the additional CSS field of the customizer:

/* Fixing Chrome issue not showing featured images on homepage */
    .background-fixed .panel-image { transform: translateY(0%); }

    Awesome, thanks Andre ??

    Hi,
would you please tell me what you have done (preferably additional CSS field) , or where can I find the answer?
I have the same issue, and only half of the header image is showing up… the other images, when scrolling down are not showing at all…

    Thank you.
