Header images on home page

    I have used Snagit to edit all of my header images to the recommended dimensions of 1500px width and 450px height.
    I have scaled all of the images to be the exact same size, but when I view them, I get varied results. They do not all fit into the space correctly. An image which shows lots of different American shows fits perfectly, whereas a Nike logo cuts off the words ‘just do it’
    I have cropped and checked the CSS settings.
    Do I have to specify the actual width and height parameters in CSS?
