• Hi,

I am having alot of trouble with the uploading of a top banner image. The dara theme stretches the image on desktop so then it looks pixelated and wrong. If you look at the same image on the mobile it looks fine so then if I try and reduce all elements and bring them in again with more white space so it is not pixelated on the desktop it looks very sparse and then also too small on the mobile.

I know it must need code or something but I don’t do coding. Any help or advice anybody could give would be much appreciated as Im really stuck at the moment.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Do you have a version of the header image that is 1180px wide that isn’t fuzzy/blurry? The image you have set right now is this one from the uploaded images on your site

You can see, that even outside of the theme the image is blurry without any modification. If you remove the cropped- text from the image name you get a much clearer image

However, this image is only 740px wide versus the 1180px wide version of the previous one.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I have tried it that width but that is the problem the design looks awful that width and too small on Mobile. I dont know how to make the design work that it looks good on a desktop and a mobile

    Hi @eimear24,

Like @jarretc, I’m also seeing blurring and fuzziness on the header image. This is present on the original image you uploaded though — it’s not the result of the theme resizing it.

The image you are currently using is 1180px but it is still fuzzy. You will need to make sure the original image is sharp otherwise that will show on the header.

the problem the design looks awful that width and too small on Mobile.

The header image scales down to the width of my phone and the text is still legible. If you are seeing something different, it would be great if you could make a screenshot and upload it to a service like Snaggy so we can take a look.

    Hi Thank you,

I’ve redone the header now to add more florals to fill the area and I scrapped the older font use and updated it. I see now that the original was a bit blurry and I was trying to make that work with different sizing but had to change it. Thanks both for help and replies. Hopefully the design is clearer on your ends also?

    Hi @eimear24,

I didn’t see the original banner on the site, but if it was what @jarretc linked to, it definitely look clearer now.
