Header image slider clickable banners

I have a client who wishes to add hyperlinks to the rotating header images.

I have followed the topic originally posted a year ago by asbrown. I followed it through and everything works as it should, apart from the clickable links of the rotating header.

thinsafetypin posted a solution, but I am not 100% clear on how this was done.

My client insists they want that to work, however I have trawled through the internet for a solution but I can’t find anything suitable.

Will there be an update out soon which will cover this? Can anyone else shed some light on this?

I would really, really appreciate it if someone out there has a solution.
