    I have a header image that is 2400×1300 but when I upload the image to the header section it seems to crop the image instead of showing the full image.

    What am I doing wrong?

    i have same problem

    only i put in a mp4 video

    “im using your wordpress theme- how do u adjust size of image (or video)” at theaudiodistillery.com

    Answer 1: I don’t use a header on that site. It’s all a background picture and I made the header inactive.

    Answer 2: I took a look at your site and the video on that page. You need to adjust the size of that hero container to fit the image, or edit the image to fit the format of that container.

    I rendered my video to 1800*300 for my header at perfectstrangersrising.com. However, I also edited the video timeline in same format 1800*300 so that I could crop the shots and get what I wanted in the header, instead of mid body shots with heads cut off etc. It was hit and miss and I settled for 1800*300. I tried many times in different resolutions, just keep experimenting. Different resolutions will work depending on what you are trying to to accomplish. I tried the recommended settings in WP and it never worked out.

    I am also trying to do this. I put in the following CSS hoping it would make the height of the header larger, but no luck:

    .hero background-image {
    height: 100%;
    background-position: center;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-size: cover;
    position: relative;
    }

    Can someone help?

    Never mind, figured it out from another thread!
