Header Image Problems

Hi. I’m doing a website for the first time using free Make theme. Having problem with my header image as it looks very thin vs. what’s in the demo. This is my WIP website https://www.grasshopperphotostudio.space.

Also I would like to make the header image appear only on the home page e vs. all pages. Would appreciate any help.
